Justrite 12162 1 Gallon Flammable Safety Can

The Justrite 12162 is a Type I oval polyethylene safety can designed for the safe storage and controlled dispensing of flammable liquids, acids and corrosive chemicals. Its space-saving shape increases shelf storage capacity by up to 30%.

Made from high-density polyethylene, the can resists heat, dents, punctures and chips. The leak-tight, self-closing cap helps prevent spills and automatically vents pressure to reduce explosion risks.

Its cap, pressure-relief mechanism and flame arrester work together to help prevent ignition sources from entering the container while maintaining smooth liquid flow. Stainless steel hardware provides added resistance against corrosive chemicals.

A conductive carbon insert creates a grounding path between the cover assembly and flame arrester. When used with a grounding strip, it helps prevent static arcs during filling and pouring.
