The NEW PIG BOM119 Optimax II Boom is a non-absorbent floating spill containment boom designed to quickly contain oil spills and debris in strong, fast-flowing waters. It is suitable for demanding spill response operations in rivers, estuaries, ports and harbours.

This boom provides 8 inches of freeboard above the waterline to corral surface pollutants, while the 12-inch below-surface draft helps block subsurface contamination. The vinyl-coated, UV-resistant polyester construction supports deployment of up to 12 months. Multiple units can be linked using aluminium universal slide connectors, and nylon handles allow single-person handling and anchoring.
