The Ferrite Measuring Device has an illuminated and high-contrast OLED display on which the measured values are shown in FN and Fe%. The ferrite content measurement is particularly important for welded duplex steels in order to determine whether the weld seam contains sufficient ferrite content to guarantee its strength. If insufficient heat is applied or the weld area cools down too quickly, the ferrite content may be too low.

The ferrite content can be determined precisely and quickly using the Ferrite Measuring Device. In order to recognize the weld seam on smooth or polished surfaces, the ferrite content meter can be switched to continuous measurement. While the probe is moved over the surface, the Ferrite Measuring Device continuously stores measured values and displays the statistics with minimum, maximum and average value after the probe is lifted.

The ferrite content meter is supplied with three calibration standards that are traceably calibrated to the NIST standard. For further processing of your measurement data, you can connect the Ferrite Measuring Device wirelessly to mobile Android or iOS devices as well as to a Windows PC. This is made possible by the integrated wireless technology. The free Lima Connect app can be used to manage projects and assign measuring points to photos. The measurement results can be statistically analyzed and graphically displayed.
